To be considered for financial assistance, you must live within our service area, complete our client intake process, and provide the required documentation. While approval is not guaranteed, our team can also help connect you with other resources that may meet your needs.

Heating & Energy Assistance

MDCS helps households in our Pennsylvania and Maryland service areas explore assistance options for heating fuel and electric bills. Our team can help you complete and submit applications for energy assistance programs, including LIHEAP in Pennsylvania and MEAP and EUSP in Maryland. We may also provide emergency support to help prevent utility shutoffs or address home heating emergencies. Assistance depends on program eligibility and available funding. Contact your local MDCS office to discuss your needs and learn about available options.

MEAF: Matching Energy Assistance Fund

The Matching Energy Assistance Fund (MEAF) is an energy assistance program that enables us to assist low-income, residential customers in York County with bill payment. MEAF is a customer pledge program in which PECO matches customer contributions. The Delta office can assist with MEAF applications. Please call 717-456-5559 for eligibility information.

Mason-Dixon Cares

MDCS provides emergency support for essential needs that may not be covered by other programs. Our team works with you to understand your situation and explore available options. Assistance depends on eligibility and available funding.
