Summer Backpack Nutrition Program

MDCS provides school aged children with a backpack and a choice pantry of kid friendly food items.  This program is meant to help families with the added cost of food while school is not in session.  At the initial visit, each child will get a backpack and is able to choose from a variety of foods to fill the backpack with.  The visits can be twice a month and we ask that the children bring their backpack to each visit to fill them up again.

Ready2Learn

MDCS distributes school supplies and sometimes gift cards to our clients with school aged children.  This program allows teachers in the North Harford and South Eastern school districts to shop free of charge for school supplies.

Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

The Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children, also known as WIC, provides supplemental food and nutrition education for pregnant and breast-feeding women, mothers who have given birth within the past six months and children up to 5 years old. The WIC program is brought to the Delta office by the Community Progress Council (CPC) on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 9am-4pm.
